Operatives and surveyors must hold a valid accreditation, which is Openreach SA005 Overhead survey.

The Openreach S005 PIA Overhead survey accreditation consists of three modules:

• Module one: Develops the knowledge of the Openreach Overhead Infrastructure
• Module two: Prepares delegates with the skills and knowledge to undertake a safe PIA telegraph pole survey
• Module three: Demonstrates individual competency required to complete a PIA Pole Survey.
