More about this course:
The UK telecommunications industry is undergoing one of the largest infrastructure upgrades in its history as full-fibre broadband networks are deployed nationwide. This has created an ongoing demand for skilled fibre telecom engineers.
Our HM Forces Telecommunications Bootcamp has been developed alongside employers within the telecoms sector to ensure you learn the exact skills required on modern fibre network deployments.
Training covers the installation, commissioning and testing of fibre optic telecommunications infrastructure used in:
Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) networks
Fibre backbone and distribution networks
Telecom exchanges and cabinets
Broadband service delivery infrastructure
Throughout the course, you will work with professional telecom test equipment and fibre splicing tools used in the field, including equipment from globally recognised manufacturers such as:
Viavi Solutions
EXFO
Fluke Networks
Softing
Fujikura
Sumitomo
This hands-on approach ensures you graduate with practical experience that telecom employers actively look for.
Fibre Optics Training has delivered specialist telecoms and network infrastructure training for nearly 20 years, supporting thousands of engineers entering the industry.
Because many of our instructors are ex-military, we understand the challenges of transitioning from the Armed Forces to civilian careers. Our team actively supports service leavers throughout the training process and beyond.
By the end of the course you will be competent in the following:
